Radiation protection in pregnancy
Have you heard of EMF ( electromagnetic field) radiation? Electromagnetic fields are very common in our lives. The emitted radiation could be a source of health problems. Electromagnetic fields come from electronic and electrical devices, for exemple power cables. There are higher and lower frequency EMFs emitted from TVs, radios, cell phones, Wi-Fi, microwaves, X-rays, and more.
While the electromagnetic rays that come from Wi-Fi and cell phones are not as high frequency as, for example, UV light or X-rays, experts believe there is considerable potential for damage to cells of your body and your childeren´s body.
A wide range of adverse human health effects which are associated with RF (radio frequency) radiation have been reported since the IARC review. Three large-scale carcinogenicity studies in rodents exposed to levels of RFR that could mimic lifetime human exposures have shown significantly increased rates of brain tumors , as well as chromosomal DNA damage. Of particular concern are the effects of RFR exposure on the developing brain in children. Compared with an adult male, a cell phone held against the head of a child exposes deeper brain structures to greater radiation doses per unit volume, and the young, thin skull's bone marrow absorbs a roughly 10-fold higher local dose. Radiation protection of pregnant women is advised.
